A Man for All Reasons

Bonaparte self crowned declared the hereditary empire his, and Hister sought in guise of party to remove all fetters of term. Oh, how life changes and how all must adjust and conform. The House of Ceanothus in stunted arborescence producing now barren drupe has even the Prince of Darkness atilt. Though the regressive experience by logic extinguishes all optimism, darkness seems undeterred by such futility, and even now, the lightless nursery sprouts the wicked seed. Thus reanimates son of Cain to slay the able anew, prepares Piad’s catechument ear, and plays consigliere to everyman. What delusion awaits to replace the aphasic shrub and foist afresh a cynical retinue. Woe if empire’s prize sinecure be in fairness won, drawn from such inbred coterie. The boy king to his fault founded power on deceit and patronymy, bent his ear to false gods and made alien his Creator. Begat in the greater part of this devilment naught but shattered nations, leaving prospected the lesser more desperate balance of tenure. Cast aside the authors of the republic to turn the civil enterprise to gilded gain, thereby idle for a season the hand of providence. Do we now awake from our stupor with humility dearly bought, only to fall upon yet another pit? If we fail to parry Satan’s latest mortmain offering, perchance we may seat an even greater monster that suffers not from the handicap of illegitimacy.
